Graduation Gala
The annual MAVRC Graduation Gala is an evening of celebration and recognition of the achievements of Georgetown’s military-connected and student veterans. The reception is held every year in mid-May and brings together Georgetown senior administrators, deans, faculty members, campus allies, our friends to acknowledge the accomplishments of Georgetown’s graduating class of student veterans and military-connected students. Reception participants receive their military-connected student graduation cord, that they can then wear during their commencement.
Georgetown is home to over 1,300 military-connected students, who pursue academically rigorous, fields of study in business, finance, technology, intelligence, and much more while balancing career and family obligations. Our military-connected students animate our classrooms, enrich our community, and bolster our resolve to live Georgetown’s value of people for others. We are better for having them and this reception is their time to shine.
