Advising

The MAVRC offers advising for:

  • Admissions
  • Education Planning
  • Informal Career Counseling
  • Military-to-Civilian Transitioning

Advising offered by the MAVRC can take many forms. Admissions advising can help prospective students by reviewing application materials, including personal statements and statements of interest, to more general advisement concerning life at Georgetown. Once you have selected your desired program and secured any available funding, the MAVRC can provide assistance with career counseling and aid those transitioning from military life to civilian.

Current and prospective military-connected students and student veterans can schedule time with a member of the MAVRC staff. Our office has representation from several military branches and many different programs, so choose the staff member whose experience is most relevant for your questions. Using the button below, students can make an appointment on our Calendly. To speak with the MAVRC director, send us an email at veteranservices@georgetown.edu and we will connect you.

For financial aid and benefits process inquiries, we recommend reaching out to your program’s School Certifying Official or your school’s financial aid representative (if you are in a main campus program, you can use the second button below to schedule a Calendly appointment with SCO Rachel Cardwell).
